Key Features

Automatic and manual scaling of printouts to fit the printer page width

Many web pages are designed to display in your browser using a set width. It is possible with such pages to enlarge the window or scroll left and right to see all parts of the page. Printing from a browser, however, often results in output too wide for the printed page, so that the text and images are cropped on the right-hand side.

Canon Easy-WebPrint automatically scales printouts so that the entire web page is captured on paper. Try printing this sample page in Internet Explorer. Then use Canon Easy-WebPrint to see how well Canon Easy-WebPrint handles wide pages!

Canon Easy-WebPrint also provides a manual scaling option in the print preview. If, for example, the last page has just a few lines on it, this option can be used to make the print size smaller and reduce the number of pages in the printout.

Duplex printing

If you're using a printer that can print on both sides of a page, you can select two-sided printing from within Canon Easy-WebPrint. You can use the "Duplex" button on the toolbar to easily switch between single-sided and double-sided printing.

Select print preview pages to print

When you preview multiple pages to print, you can select or deselect any page to customize the print range. A check box below each preview page turns printing on and off for that page.

For example, you preview a Web page that spans two printed pages but you only want to print Page 1. Simply clear the check box below Page 2 and when you click Print, Canon Easy-WebPrint prints only Page 1.

Printing one page, or building a list of pages to print all at once

Canon Easy-WebPrint can print a single web page with just one click of the Print button on the Canon Easy-WebPrint toolbar.

Canon Easy-WebPrint can also print a number of web pages at once. Add web pages to the Canon Easy-WebPrint Print List, and one click will print them all.

Web pages can be added to the print list one by one. Alternatively, one or more selected links, or all the links on a page, can be added in one go.

Standard or high speed printing with just one click

For standard printouts, you simply click the Print button on the Canon Easy-WebPrint toolbar to print the page currently displayed in Internet Explorer. It will be printed using current printer settings, including those shown in the Canon Easy-WebPrint Options dialog.

For a faster printout, just click the High Speed Print button and your printer's draft mode setting will be selected automatically. There is no need to navigate through confusing menus and dialog boxes to find and change the Print Quality setting.

Easy page print preview

The Preview button on the Canon Easy-WebPrint toolbar makes it quick and easy to check what your printout will look like. You may want to know how the page will look with or without background colors and images, or how it will be printed in multiple columns. Just click on the Options button to change settings, then click Preview to see the result. After closing the preview, printing is a single click away via the Print or High Speed Print buttons.

Multi-column printing (to save paper)

Most web pages are designed for viewing on screen. The higher resolution provided by printers means that text and images can be slightly reduced in size with no loss of legibility. For example, if you print in two columns using landscape orientation, you will only need half the amount of paper used for standard printout.

Convenient and easy option selection

Click the Options button to choose printing options such as portrait or landscape orientation, the number of printed columns, grayscale, and whether to include background colors and images.

The Options dialog, the Print and High Speed Print buttons provide all the essential printer options, so you generally won't need to use printer property dialogs.

You can use the More Options... button on the Options dialog to customize which buttons and text appear on the toolbar. This is useful if you want to make the toolbar smaller.

Optional printing of page backgrounds

Sometimes website designers aim to increase the impact of their web pages by including a background image, or presenting light text on a dark background.

If you want just the information from the page (without reproducing the screen display exactly) use the Canon Easy-WebPrint Options dialog to turn off printing of background colors and images.

Print all the content of frame based pages

When displayed in the browser, scroll bars may be added to some frames so that not all the information is displayed on screen. When a frames page is printed by a browser, the scroll bars may be included on the printout and so not all of the information is visible. Canon Easy-WebPrint automatically expands frames so that all information is captured on the printed page.
